ABOUT

Ana Manzur-Allan is a Brisbane-based artist working across painting, ceramics and printmaking. Her work is shaped by experiences of civil war, displacement, and migration. Born in El Salvador during the civil war, she fled with her family and settled in Australia. She later returned to El Salvador to work with communities affected by the war, before moving to San Francisco, where she lived for two decades. Returning regularly, she maintains strong ties to these places, retaining connection, memory, and belonging.

Her practice is informed by this lived history and through her work in international development and post-conflict settings. Manzur-Allan holds a Master’s in International Development Policy and Peace and Conflict Studies from Duke University and is a recipient of the Rotary Peace Fellowship. She is currently completing her BVA at the Queensland College of Art.
