Exploring memory, movement, and belonging through material form.

Ana Manzur-Allan is a Brisbane-based artist currently completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University. She holds a Master's in International Development Policy and Peace and Conflict Studies from Duke University.

Born in El Salvador during the civil war, Manzur-Allan's practice is rooted in lived experience of displacement, migration, and return. Memory, cultural exchange, identity and belonging run through her work. Her background in international development and post-conflict work continues to inform the conceptual and ethical direction of her practice.

Her most recent solo exhibition, In Holding, was presented at Grey Street Gallery, QCAD Galleries (19–30 May 2026). The exhibition brought together abstract paintings and hand-built ceramic vessels exploring memory, displacement, and what is carried in the aftermath of conflict. A second solo exhibition is forthcoming at the Glass Box, QCAD Galleries in August 2026.

Manzur-Allan is a recipient of the Rotary Peace Fellowship, awarded to individuals committed to peace-building across cultures.
